La Legua Roble 2014, red wine from Cigales, Castilla y León. 4 Month in oak barrels for a wine made with Tempranillo grapes 100%. Fresh and fruity. Intense red fruit notes that harmonizes perfectly with subtle hints of vanilla and toasted oak wood.
Note: Drink now-2018.
Sommelier recommendation: Roasts, red or white meats, appetizers, hunt, stews, pasta and rice.
Neal Martin´s Tasting Note (The wine advocate, Robert Parker): "The La Legua Roble is pure Tempranillo aged in American oak for six months (60% new). It offers billowing red berry fruit on the nose, with attractive marine-like notes adding more complexity than the Young. The palate is medium-bodied and smooth as silk: there is not a rough edge in sight here! It is well-balanced, plush and generous in the mouth, with a rounded raspberry and spice-tinged finish that does not outstay its welcome. It is well-made and unashamedly approachable"
