Piedra Azul 2015, red wine with designation of origin Toro, Zamora. Red wine with pleasant hints of wild berries and showing the character of the grape of the region of Toro. Piedra Viña Azul every year has become one of the best young wines in its class. All the power of Toro Wines in an exquisite wine.
Sommeliers recommendation: Perfect wine for red meats, Iberian cured ham and strong cheeses.
Tasting note: Dark cherry in colour, with an intense purple edge. In nose, the full personality of Tinta de Toro is revealed, rich in wild fruits (raspberries, sloes, mulberries, cranberries…) along with elegant balsamic and mineral touches. This fruit continues to the palate, which is full-bodied, warming and well-structured, and also shows meaty notes along with sweet tannins and a touch of biting. The finish is persistent, again recalling red fruits.
